GetTravel.com.au – Terms & Conditions

1. General

  • All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST.

  • The personal information provided at the time of booking must be accurate and complete. Incorrect or incomplete information may result in the booking being cancelled, invalidated, or preventing travel. Refunds will not be provided for such cases.


2. Meeting Times & Attendance

  • Customers must present themselves at the meeting place at the scheduled time.

  • Failure to arrive on time will be considered a voluntary withdrawal from the tour, with no refunds.

  • If any member of a booking fails to meet the group schedule, their participation will be void with no refunds.


3. Reconfirmation & Departure

  • Guests are required to reconfirm final schedule and details at least one (1) working day before departure.

  • On the day of departure, customers should arrive at least 2 hours prior to scheduled departure time. Extra buffer time may be necessary depending on traffic or unforeseen issues.


4. Payments

  • Bookings will not be processed until GetTravel.com.au receives full payment with the correct amount.

  • Customers are responsible for arranging their payment schedule and method promptly to avoid delays or cancellations.

  • Deposits are non-refundable once the trip is confirmed.


5. Travel Documentation & Itinerary

  • Customers must ensure that all itinerary details are correct.

  • GetTravel.com.au will not be responsible for losses caused by incorrect details provided by the customer.


6. Travel Insurance

  • Strongly recommended.

  • GetTravel.com.au will not refund or compensate for consequences arising from:

    • Personal reasons

    • Natural disasters / unforeseen events

    • Other unexpected circumstances


7. Behaviour & Conduct

  • Local operators reserve the right to remove passengers who misbehave or threaten others. No refund will apply.


8. Transits

  • Customers are responsible for their own transit arrangements (flights, ferries, buses) if no guide is assigned.

  • GetTravel.com.au will not be responsible if customers miss connections due to their own transit issues.


9. Travel Time & Delays

  • All travel times are estimated and depend on real traffic conditions.

  • GetTravel.com.au will not compensate for delays caused by flights, trains, or other transport disruptions.


10. Cancellations by Operator

  • If a tour cannot proceed, customers will be notified at least 1 week before departure and offered a full refund.


11. Refunds & Cancellations by Customer

  • Refund requests must be made in writing and confirmed in writing by GetTravel.com.au.

  • If no written confirmation is received, the request is not valid.

  • Credit card surcharges are non-refundable.

  • Once an order is placed and paid, packages with air tickets or accommodation generally cannot be cancelled or rebooked (conditions will be shown on product page).

Standard Cancellation Fees:

  • 10 days before departure → 25%-100% cancellation fee may apply

  • 6-9 days before departure → 75%-100% cancellation fee may apply

  • 5 days or less → 100% cancellation fee (no refund)


12. Flight Bookings & Changes

  • Customers must check names, flight schedules, and booking details at the time of booking.

  • Flight cancellations/changes:

    • GetTravel.com.au surcharge: $70 per person per trip

    • Ticketing centre fee: $20 per person per trip (to be confirmed)

    • Airline penalties and fare differences may also apply

  • Requests must be made at least 3 working days before departure.


13. Accommodation

  • If a booked hotel is unavailable, a similar standard hotel will be substituted.

  • Hotel rates cover accommodation only unless otherwise stated.

  • Extra charges (meals, phone, minibar, etc.) are paid by the customer.

  • Guests must follow hotel rules, occupancy limits, and deposit requirements.


14. Children & Infants

  • Children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Free-fare children (e.g., under 4 years) may not receive meals or a seat on transport.


15. Tour Inclusions & Substitutions

  • Tours include tickets (ferries, buses, attractions, etc.) unless otherwise stated.

  • If an attraction is unavailable, refunds may be issued at 30% of retail price.

  • Substitutions may be made in case of itinerary changes.


16. COVID-19 Policy

  • Bookings made after 14 March 2020 are not covered under COVID-19 extenuating circumstances (travel restrictions, border closures, cancellations, etc.).

  • Only guests who are currently sick with COVID-19 may be eligible for exceptions.

  • Cancellation policies apply as usual.


17. Agency Role

  • GetTravel.com.au acts as an agent only.

  • Services (flights, tours, hotels, etc.) are supplied by third-party operators.

  • By booking, customers authorise GetTravel.com.au to act on their behalf in securing services.


18. Acceptance of Terms

By proceeding with a booking, customers acknowledge acceptance of these Terms & Conditions through:

  1. Signing these terms;

  2. Email confirmation; or

  3. Payment of booking.
