Sydney Blue Mountains Day Tour — Itinerary

This is a very popular tour, so we recommend booking early. Ticket confirmation is subject to availability once your booking is received.

Departure time: 9:00 am
Return time: Approximately 6:00 pm

Please meet at 8:50 am at our meeting point in front of the former Holiday Inn, 68 Harbour Street, Haymarket (Sydney Chinatown). At 9:00 am, your Chinese-speaking driver and guide will take you on a scenic journey to the Blue Mountains National Park (World Heritage Area), passing through Sydney’s charming outer suburbs along the way.

Upon arrival, enjoy the Scenic World experience, featuring three unforgettable rides:

Sydney Skyway: Soar 270 metres above the valley with panoramic 360° views.
Scenic Railway: Ride the world’s steepest railway, descending at a 64° incline through lush rainforest.
Scenic Cableway: Glide down a 545-metre track offering spectacular valley views.

Next, visit Honeymoon Bridge for an up-close look at the majestic Three Sisters rock formation. Your guide will then take you to Echo Point and the Queen Elizabeth Lookout for more breathtaking views across the Blue Mountains.

After lunch (at own expense), explore the charming town of Leura — often listed among the world’s most beautiful small towns. Enjoy a relaxed stroll through its boutique-lined streets and leafy scenery, especially beautiful during autumn when the foliage and jacarandas are in bloom.

As the day ends, return to Sydney. On the way back, you may choose to take an optional 45-minute sunset cruise along the Parramatta River (at own expense; OPAL card required). The cruise passes Olympic Park, Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House before finishing at Circular Quay around 6:00 pm. Admire Sydney’s skyline and harbour views from the water before returning to your hotel.

Guests not joining the sunset cruise will return directly to the original meeting point in Chinatown.

45-minute Sunset Cruise — this cruise is part of Sydney’s public transport network and is designed to avoid city traffic. Guests can use their own Opal Card, available from convenience stores or Visitor Centres. The recommended fare is around AUD $8.40 for adults and half price for children.

Please be on time and arrive at least 10 minutes early to ensure a smooth departure.

Get Travel reserves the right to adjust the itinerary due to traffic, weather, flight changes or other unforeseen circumstances. In the event of natural or man-made disasters, guest safety will always come first. The company reserves the right to cancel or modify tours without additional refunds.
All activities are subject to local conditions. If certain roads or attractions are closed due to weather, hotel issues, flight delays or public holidays, Get Travel may adjust or shorten the itinerary as necessary. Compensation will not be provided in such cases.
If itinerary changes occur due to traffic, weather or other factors beyond our control, any extra costs incurred will be the responsibility of the traveller. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance.
Get Travel will not be liable for any unexpected events or disruptions caused by natural or external factors affecting your travel schedule.
If the tour guide or staff need to provide additional services due to personal circumstances of group members, an additional service fee will apply and must be paid by the guest.
For your safety, please note that Scenic World cable cars have scheduled maintenance periods. Consider this before booking.
Maintenance notice: The Scenic Cableway will be closed from 13 October 2025 and will reopen on 18 October 2025. The Scenic Railway will then close for its scheduled six-year maintenance on 20 October and reopen on 15 November 2025. During this time, only two of the three rides will operate.
Scenic World performs regular maintenance to ensure world-class safety and quality standards. Every six years, core attractions undergo major inspection and testing by Garaventa engineering specialists from Switzerland.
Maintenance dates are announced once parts and the engineering team are confirmed to arrive in Australia. Notices are typically released about six weeks in advance.

Cancelation Policy

Cancellations or changes made after booking will incur a 15% processing fee. Cancellations made within 7 days of booking are non-refundable.

Note: If you wish to cancel outside of this timeframe, please email us at least 2 business days in advance, based on your departure time zone. If approved, refunds will be processed within 7–28 business days. Cancellation notifications must be received and acknowledged during our business hours.

Get Travel follows the cancellation policy set by each tour operator. We only apply cancellation fees when required by the operator. Get Travel does not charge any additional cancellation fees.

The tour operator reserves the right of final interpretation regarding the cancellation policy for this tour.

If you have paid a partial deposit for your booking:

If the departure date, price and itinerary details match our online reservation, our customer service team will confirm your booking immediately. In this case, the deposit is non-refundable.
If the departure date, price or itinerary details differ from those listed online, our customer service team will offer suitable alternatives. If you choose not to proceed, your deposit will be refunded in full.
