  • Full-day tour, departing daily (specific time will be notified by SMS).
  • Winter time: 09:30 AM – 21:30 PM (April to October).
  • Summer time: 11:30 AM – 23:30 PM (October to April). Summer time starts at 2:00 AM (AEST) on the first Sunday in October and ends at 3:00 AM (AEDT) on the first Sunday in April.

The Steam Train Visitor Centre Restaurant will randomly offer one of the following dishes based on the ingredients prepared that day:

Enjoy a classic Melbourne day trip including a Puffing Billy steam train ride through the forest and a late-evening visit to Phillip Island to witness the adorable little penguins returning to their nests. Experience two top attractions in one day!

Morning: Depart for the Dandenong Ranges around 10:30 AM in winter / 12:30 PM in summer. The first stop is the Puffing Billy Railway — one of Australia’s oldest steam trains, located 42 km east of Melbourne. Ride the train through the lush green forest and enjoy the breathtaking natural surroundings. A one-way train ticket is included.

Optional Excursion – Maru Koala and Animal Park:
Arrive around 2:00 PM (4:00 PM in summer). Admission is optional (recommended price: $30 for adults, $16 for children). Interact with kangaroos, koalas, emus, and parrots, and even meet the endangered Tasmanian devil. Stay approximately 40 minutes.

Arrive at The Nobbies around 3:30 PM DST. Visit the Nobbies Centre, see the seal colony, and enjoy 30 minutes of free time.

Evening – Penguin Parade:
Arrive at Penguin Island around 5:10 PM (7:10 PM in summer) to witness the world-famous Penguin Parade. General viewing is included. Located on Summerland Beach, the area is home to thousands of Little Penguins, the smallest penguin species in the world.

If the hotel cannot provide safe and convenient access and parking, we will arrange to pick you up at a pick-up point within 300 meters of the hotel).

Things to Note

  • The prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) (all taxes are included).
  • Children’s age: 4–14 years old; infants’ age: 0–3 years old (inclusive). Please provide the accurate age of the child when placing an order.
  • There will be a text message notification the day before the tour. If you have a local phone number, please update it in time.
  • Child seats: Depending on the vehicle’s availability, children under 1.45 meters are required to use a child seat. According to Victorian law, minibuses do not require child seats. If required, a fee of $10 per seat per day will apply. A complimentary child seat will be provided for airport pickup and drop-off. Additional seats are $19 per seat per day.
  • Tips: Coastal weather can be cold and windy in autumn and winter, so bring warm clothing. In summer, the sun is strong, so bring sunscreen and clothing, and be careful of flies. The mountains and the seaside are still cooler than the inland plains. The journey is long, so bring motion sickness medication and water.
  • Please purchase products according to your actual age. If you do not follow the regulations, additional fees will be charged on the spot after verification.
  • Meals are not included in this tour price, but your driver will take you to a dining area where you can eat at your own expense. Also, if you have special dietary requirements, such as vegetarians, please bring your own, as local restaurants may not accommodate your needs.
  • Before 8:00 PM the night before departure, the driver will contact you via text message to confirm the exact departure time and address. If you do not receive the text message, please contact the emergency contact number. To protect the rights of other passengers, you must arrive at the departure location 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Please arrive on time. Failure to do so will be considered a forfeit, and the tour fee will not be refunded or rescheduled.
  • Tickets are subject to availability and must be purchased through the tour guide. Round-trip transportation to the attractions is included. If purchased independently, the agency does not provide any transportation services or guests will be required to pay an additional $30 per person per day. Prices are subject to change and guests are responsible for paying the actual price.
  • If you choose to leave the group, please inform the travel agency in advance when registering.
  • No food or beverages (except bottled water) are permitted on the tour bus. Hot food is prohibited. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If personal reasons seriously affect the cleanliness of the bus, a cleaning fee of $200 will be charged.
  • Tickets for attractions must be purchased through the tour guide (you are not allowed to pre-order them yourself, as the number of guests on the same day will determine whether to go). Optional activities are not guaranteed to be 100% available.
  • Please note that the order of the itinerary may be adjusted depending on the weather, tour guide arrangements, vehicle conditions, and road traffic.

Cancelation Policy

There is no refund if the trip is cancelled after booking.

Note: GET TRAVEL will apply the tour operator’s cancellation policy. We will only charge cancellation fees if the tour operator requires them (GET TRAVEL does not charge additional cancellation fees).
The tour operator reserves the right of final interpretation regarding the cancellation policy for this tour.
If you have paid a partial deposit for your tour, then:
a. If the departure date, price, and itinerary details match our online reservation, our customer service staff will immediately confirm the details without further notice. The deposit will not be refunded at this time.
b. If the departure date, price, and itinerary details do not match our online reservation, our customer service staff will offer you alternative options. If you disagree, your deposit will be fully refunded.
