Tasmania Mt Field Day Trip: Waterfalls & Royal Botanic Garden
- Mt Field National Park: Tasmania’s oldest national park, integrating rainforests, canyons, waterfalls and alpine lakes in one day, boasting diverse ecological landscapes.
- Two Popular Waterfalls: Russell Falls and Horseshoe Falls, both highly photogenic. Russell Falls features multi-layered cascades that can be admired up close, with gentle trails accessible even with strollers. Horseshoe Falls is located above Russell Falls, with short stepped sections, and visitors can choose to climb based on their physical condition.
- Royal Tasmanian Botanical Garden: Founded in 1818, it is Australia’s second oldest botanical garden after the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney. With a history of over 200 years, it is rich in cultural heritage and a wide variety of plants.
- Around 09:15: Gather and depart westward along the Derwent Valley, enjoying views of farmlands, orchards and hop farms along the way.
- Around 10:30: Arrive at Mt Field National Park Visitor Center.
- After 10:30: Explore Russell Falls Trail (gentle rainforest boardwalk), optional visit to Horseshoe Falls.
- 12:30–13:30: Lunch on own (available at the visitor center café or picnic area, subject to daily opening hours), free photo time.
- 15:00–16:30: Tour the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Garden.
- 16:45–17:15: Return to Hobart city hotels/airport, end of the trip.
- Meeting Point: Hobart CBD hotel or airport (please reserve buffer time for flight connections)
- Transportation: Air-conditioned tour bus, driven by a Chinese-speaking driver-guide throughout the trip. The itinerary will be flexibly adjusted according to the daily road conditions (e.g., choosing between the three waterfalls or alpine lake area)
- Trip Duration: Approximately 8 hours
- Child Policy: Children aged 4–11 are eligible for the child price; infants need to reserve a safety seat (see the ticket for fee details)
- Equipment Recommendations: Waterproof jacket, non-slip sports shoes, water bottle, sun protection products, mosquito repellent; additional gloves and warm hat are required for winter travel
- Safety Reminder: Mountain weather is changeable. In case of heavy storms, icy roads or temporary park closures, the route will be adjusted with safety as the top priority
- Group Formation & Vehicle Type: Regular groups are 10-person small groups or classic large groups. The specific minimum number of participants and vehicle type are subject to the schedule
- Cancellation & Modification Policy: Subject to confirmation. If the trip is cancelled due to force majeure, rescheduling or a full refund will be given priority
- Alternative Route: In case of route change due to force majeure, the alternative route is Richmond Town/Valley Supplementary Point
- A 15% administrative fee will be charged for any cancellations or amendments made after booking confirmation.
- Cancellations made within 7 days of the departure date are non-refundable.
- Important Note: To cancel outside of this 7-day window, you must contact us via email no later than 2 working days prior to departure, based on your tour’s local departure time zone.
- If a refund is approved after review, the amount will be processed within 7–28 business days.
- A cancellation request is only valid once it has been received and confirmed by us during our business operating hours.
- Get Travel adheres to the cancellation policies set by each Tour Supplier and only charges cancellation fees where required by the supplier.
- Get Travel does not impose any additional cancellation charges.
- The Tour Supplier reserves the right to the final interpretation of the cancellation policy for this itinerary.
Regarding Deposit Payments (If Applicable)
- If the departure date, price, and itinerary details match the information on the website at the time of booking, the Customer Service team will immediately confirm the order. In this case, the deposit is non-refundable.
- If the departure date, price, or itinerary details do not match the website information, the Customer Service team will offer suitable alternative options.
- Should you choose not to proceed with the booking, the deposit will be refunded in full.
