Kuranda Rainforest Tour

Standard Itinerary

  • 08:00 – Hotel Pick-up.

  • 08:30 – Board the Kuranda Scenic Railway or Skyrail Cableway.

  • 11:00 – Pick up from Kuranda Village; transfer to Rainforest Station Nature Park.

    • Activities: Army Duck Amphibious Tour, Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience, Spear Throwing & Boomerang Workshop.

  • 13:00 – Return to Kuranda Village for free time and exploration.

  • 15:00 – Conclusion of activities; descend via Cableway or Train.

  • 16:30 – 17:30 – Return to hotel or free Airport Drop-off (suitable for flights departing after 18:00).

Note: Typically “Train Up, Cableway Down.” If maintenance occurs or sequences change, you will be notified in advance.

Contingency Plan (If Train/Cableway is out of service)

  • 08:00 – Hotel Pick-up.

  • 09:30 – Visit Granite Gorge Nature Park (Interact with wild rock wallabies).

  • 11:30 – Free time in Kuranda Village.

  • 12:45 – Pick up for Army Duck tour and Aboriginal performances.

  • 15:00 – Descend via Bus, Cableway, or Train (depending on availability).

  • 16:30 – 17:30 – Return to hotel or Airport.

Important Details:

  • Seasonal Adjustments: From Sept to Dec (warmer weather), the route is fixed as “Train Up, Cableway Down.” During the rainy season (Dec–Jan), the itinerary may be adjusted without prior notice to ensure comfort and safety.

  • Group Size: Minimum 4 people; maximum 27 people.

  • Guiding: Chinese-speaking guide provided within the Rainforest Park. No guide accompaniment during free time in town or on the train/cableway.

Tour Transporation

  • Upon successful booking, a confirmation voucher will be sent to your email. Please check your inbox and verify the details carefully. Please bring this voucher with you on the day of the tour.

  • You will receive a text message (SMS) the day before your departure with your exact pick-up time and driver/guide details. Please ensure international roaming is enabled or provide an Australian local phone number. If your contact information changes, please inform us immediately.

  • Please arrive at the designated meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance.

Things to Note

Child Policy & Guiding

  • Child Age: 4–14 years old. Infants under 4 years old receive free admission to attractions (meals not included), but a $30 seat fee applies. (Please note: Baby seats cannot be installed on the 27-seater bus).

  • Guiding: Guided tours within the Rainforestation Nature Park are conducted by Chinese-speaking guides. The driver/guide will not accompany guests during free time in Kuranda Village or during the train and cableway journeys.

  • Minimum Group Size: This tour requires a minimum number of participants. If the requirement is not met, a reschedule or full refund will be offered.

  • Confirmation Voucher: Upon successful booking, a confirmation voucher containing essential details and precautions will be sent to you. Please read it carefully. By providing no feedback, you are deemed to have read and acknowledged all information therein.

  • Agency Role: We act as an intermediary agent responsible only for booking travel products on behalf of tourists.

  • Insurance & Liability: We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance. Service providers (attractions, hotels, transport companies) are directly responsible for the quality, service, and safety of their products. We are not liable for safety issues. In case of accidents without insurance, we will only provide assistance.

  • Cancellations: If a booking is forced to be cancelled due to the provider’s reasons, a full refund will be issued, but no additional compensation will be provided.

  • Accommodation: Hotel check-in is typically between 13:00–15:00. Early check-in is not recommended and may incur additional fees payable directly to the hotel.

  • Personal Property: We are not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any luggage, valuables, or personal items during the tour.

  • Health & Safety: Participants must assess their own physical condition and weather conditions before engaging in high-risk activities (e.g., swimming, diving). Guests with heart disease, hypertension, or illness should consult a doctor. We are not liable for any illness, injury, or death resulting from a guest’s health condition.

  • Wildlife: Wildlife sightings involve wild animals in their natural habitat and are not guaranteed. No refunds will be provided if specific animals are not seen.

  • No-Shows: No refunds will be issued for missed tours due to personal reasons or late arrivals.

  • Itinerary Changes: Tour durations are approximate. We reserve the right to modify or cancel the itinerary due to weather, traffic, or safety concerns. Sequence of activities may be adjusted.

  • Acceptance of Terms: By completing your booking, you agree to all terms and conditions outlined above. Terms are subject to change without prior notice.
